Our Story....

“The S.A.L.L.Y Way” is an outreach program started by a group of friends whose hearts desire is to serve God by serving others.  Our outreach started nearly 5 years ago serving homeless communities around the island.

Sharing God's love through His word and prayer is at the forefront of our outreach.  We have been blessed to have served hundreds each month with prayers, warm hugs, laughter, tears, hot meals, food bags, hygiene kits and so much more.  

Enter COVID-19!  Who could have imagined the far-reaching effects of this virus!  TRAGIC!  Lives lost!  Life as we know it, no longer what it used to be!  Social distancing, mandatory stay at home quarantine, constant hand washing and wearing face masks in public!  Economic upheaval!  Unemployment claims skyrocketing!  Heartbreaking and scary!

With quarantine in place, reaching our homeless community is not an option at this time.  So, we have decided to take our outreach from the streets to the homes of those in need during this crisis. 

We are here to help those who have been impacted by being furloughed or laid off due to COVID-19.  Individuals and families are sent a one-time gift by way of a gift card.  Gift cards can be used to buy groceries and essential items.  Each person or family receives $50 per person living in the household, not to exceed $300. 

"The S.A.L.L.Y Way" gives to those that are referred to us.  Referrals come from co-workers, friends, neighbors and previous recipients of "The S.A.L.L.Y Way".  We fund this program with our own resources, so it is very important to us that those truly in need are receiving help!

 

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Pray for those in need.  Prayer is a beautiful expression of love.  It is a gift that takes just a moment of your time but has the power to change lives.  PRAYER WORKS!

Reach out to a co-worker, neighbor or friend to see how they're doing.  If they are in need and you have the means to bless them financially, do what you can!

We rely on referrals from co-workers, friends, neighbors and recipients who have received assistance from "The S.A.L.L.Y Way".

GOD  is first and foremost, in our opinion!

He is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you.  If you don't know God and would like to have a relationship with Him, say this prayer:  

Father, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. 

I believe Your son, Jesus, died for my sins and rose from the dead. 

I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. 

I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

In Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
